Running the final recap is quite simple. Just go to Administration/Settings and then Year-End. Choose Second Recap, create the snapshot when asked for the tax year (this will take a minute or two). When the snapshot is complete, the button will change to Print Recap. The second recap is two pages so you’ll need to print each (they appear in separate windows one behind the other). To run your detailed Additions/Deletions export, you go to the Reports/Exports and there is a button near the bottom to produce the export. The totals on the detailed export will match the Additions/Deletions on your recap. The only other thing you will need to do after running your recap is to get your numbers together for your prior year exonerations to add to the recap. Exporting the tax bill file is done using the Reports/Exports export tax bill file which is in the Exports group of the reports list. Lastly, you may want to go into Settings,Year-End, Lock/Unlock and check the recap year checkbox to lock assessments in for that year. You can always unlock them if you need to enter an exonerated change but this will keep users from inadvertently changing assessments after your final recap.
